UKCloud for VMware: All Regions and Zones – 16 April – 30 June.

We are planning for vCloud Director 9.7 upgrade and here are some key points you need to consider in coming months:

• Public Sandbox (https://vcd.latest.ukcloud.com/cloud/) will be upgraded from vCD 9.5 to vCD 9.7 by 24th of April. Please spend some time testing your code against this sandbox. If you need an account setup, please speak to your account manager (TAM).

• vCloud Director 9.7 supports only advanced edge gateways (HTML5). You must convert any legacy non-advanced edge gateway to an advanced gateway by 31st of May 2019. Following this date, UKCloud will convert all outstanding legacy edges to advanced gateways for you without further notice. This can be done by following this guide:https://docs.ukcloud.com/articles/vmware/vmw-how-convert-edge.html?tabs=tabid-1 Otherwise, please speak to our customer service team and they can assist you.

• vCloud Director 9.7 is the last release of vCloud Director to support vCloud API version 20. This API version is deprecated in this release and will not be supported in future releases. New vCloud API version is 32. Please check and update if your deployment code or applications relies on old vCloud APIs. Use the Sandbox to test new APIs and your code.

• Supported browsers are:

            Google Chrome 72.0.3626.109 
            Mozilla Firefox 60.5.1ESR
            Microsoft Edge 42.17134.1.0
            Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.590.171340

• If you are using PowerCLI to interact with our vCloud Director instances, minimum version supported is 11.0.0.

UKCloud will be performing upgrades to region 6 network equipment.

Impact to customer?

No impact anticipated but customers may experience minor packet loss during the upgrades

Timings for packet loss throughout the maintenance window:

20:30 - first switch upgrade – REGION 6 POD F

21:30 - second switch upgrade - REGION 6 POD F

22:30 - RMA on faulty equipment

23:30 - third switch upgrade - REGION 6 POD F

Customers may experience brief packet loss while traffic converges during the upgrade.

What?

UKCloud will be performing upgrades of host firmware.

When?

Wednesday 24 April 02:00 - 05:00

Impact to customer?

During this time there may be impact to the UKCloud Guard service as we migrate, upgrade and power cycle the hosts providing this service.

What?

Routine maintenance will be carried out on the Farnborough and Corsham Internet transit devices.

When?

Wednesday 24 April 20:00 - Thursday 25 April 02:00

Impact to customer?

During the maintenance window, all inbound and outbound customer traffic that is currently transiting selected core network equipment will converge onto our other providers. Customers might experience packet loss while the network converges onto our redundant paths.

Potential Incident - ECS, REGION 5 ZONE 20 and 1F, 04 APRIL 2019

We are aware of an issue which may impact your ability to use the ECS Service. Performance may be degraded.

This is being investigated and customers will be updated with any progress as soon as possible.

Platform Incident - Email and Collaboration, Internet Facing - 03/04/19

UKCloud have identified a critical vulnerability affecting our Internet facing Email as a Service. As such, UKCloud have opted to bring down the Zimbra service until a fix has been applied. During this time users will be unable to access their emails. UKCloud takes the security of the platform as a top priority and are working to apply a fix, the current estimated time for the service to resume is 20:00 04/04/2019. UKCloud apologies for the inconvenience this may cause our customers.
