Impact to Customers?

During the maintenance period, access to vCloud Director will be unavailable, limiting your ability to manage your Virtual machines. Virtual machines which are powered on will continue to run. Snapshot Protection services (both backup and restore facility) will be unavailable during the maintenance period. For virtual machines covered by journaling protection, journals will continue to be updated, however failover events into these zones will not be possible for the duration of maintenance window.

Planned Maintenance - Elastic Cloud Storage, (ASSURED & ELEVATED) (19 & 26 March)

What?

UKCloud will be performing planned maintenance on the primary load balancers for Elastic Cloud Storage

When?

Tuesday 19 March 06:00 – 07:00 - ASSURED - (POSTPONED)

Tuesday 26 March 06:00 – 07:00 - ELEVATED

Impact to customer?

During the maintenance we will be failing each primary load balancer over so that the secondary is the active member of the pair. During the failover customers may experience a brief loss of connection, but this interruption will be brief, less than 10 seconds. The following incoming networks will be affected:

What?

UKCloud will be performing upgrades and rolling reboots of OpenStack Compute hosts

When?

Monday 18 March 08:00 - Friday 29 March 23:59 - (EXTENDED TO 29 MARCH)

Impact to customer?

During the maintenance there will be live migration events taking place, during this time instances may be slow to respond and may experience performance degradation.

Preventative Maintenance - Cloud Storage, Corsham (ELEVATED) - Region 5 - (30 March)

What?

UKCloud will be applying patches and fixes to improve performance.

When?

Saturday 30 March 09:00 - 10:00

Impact to customer?

Customer applications will reconnect to other nodes in the ECS cluster automatically but customers may see short bursts of connection errors. No downtime expected.

What?

UKCloud will be performing upgrades to region 6 network equipment.

When?

Impact to customer?

No impact anticipated but customers may experience minor packet loss during the upgrades.

Impact to Customers?

During maintenance there will be vMotion events taking place to evacuate host(s). VMs with large memory allocation may notice degraded performance for a brief period of time whilst the VM is moving to another host.
